Interview with Rob Hughes
Rob is the first builder of the Dingo in the UK.
The World Championship in the UNLIMITED category, held this year in neighboring Poland at the Zamość airport, was primarily about gaining valuable experience for Lukáš and Petr. The guys fought like tigers against challenging weather, with one thunderstorm after another passing over the airport on some days, and in competition with the world’s best pilots, they achieved 21st and 30th place! Along with Martin Šonka’s 7th place finish, they ultimately achieved 5th place in the team rankings with a total of 42,450 points. What was missing to make it onto the podium? Just a little! Only 15 points!
In freestyle, Petr finished in 11th place, and Martin took 4th place.
Our entire team participated in the competition—Honza took on the role of the warm-up pilot, so we can proudly say that we made up the vast majority of the Czech delegation!
We thank all our sponsors for their support and the trust they place in us! Thanks to you, we can continue to progress and represent the Czech Republic on an international level in this amazing sport that we love!
Interest in the Dingo in the UK is growing. The BMAA publishes a monthly online newsletter called Microlight Flying eNews, and this month’s issue has an article on the Dingo.
